Continuing Education (CE) Credits for Workshops

Many of the training workshops listed in the Calendar Section are co-sponsored by Applied Metapsychology International and the trainer delivering the workshop. For those that are co-sponsored, continuing education credits as listed below may be issued upon successful completion of the workshops. Contact the individual trainers for information regarding which continuing education credits will be available for the workshops they have listed on the calendar.

TIR Training qualifies toward certification by the Academy of Traumatology and by the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists (ATSS). Your certificate of attendance, giving the hours of training you have received, will suffice for these. There is no charge for the certificate of attendance. The credit hours for TIR workshops may be applied towards certification and re-certification as a Trauma Specialist, a Trauma Responder, and a Trauma Services Specialist with ATSS.

The Canadian Counselling Association has recognized each of the three TIR workshops for 24 CE hours. Please notify your trainer in advance if you will require an application for CCA CEs for a workshop you will be attending.

There is a nominal fee for a certificate for continuing education credit for psychologists recognized by the American Psychological Association (APA), and for social workers by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). AMI is a recognized provider of continuing education by the APA for all trainings that meet its educational goals. The NASW has recognized the following workshops: TIR Workshop, TIR - Expanded Applications (TIR-EA), and Case Planning for TIR and Fundamentals and Techniques of Life Stress Reduction (FLSR), Life Stress Reduction Techniques and Case Planning (LSR-CP) as suitable for continuing education for social workers.

Look for these statements on promotional materials, or contact a trainer for further information about co-sponsored workshops:
