Pam: I have been a TIR trainer since September 2007 and an Advanced TIR Trainer/Technical Director since October 2007. I began apprenticing under Brian Grimes late 2005 and worked on multiple certifications simultaneously. After the tragic passing of Brian in March of this year, I completed my apprenticeship with Nancy Day. Pam: Initially, I was inspired by the power of the techniques and the positive life changes that clients reported. In my many years of counselling I had never seen actual resolution the way I did with TIR (Metapsychology). My enthusiasm exponentially grew as I worked under Brian's direction and guidance, which resulted in continued receipt of unsolicited positive feedback from clients. Pam: I have to say that the consistency with which results are attained and the new sense of 'vitality' that clients experience in their life are particularly rewarding. Along with that is my awareness that clients seem to resolve issues, rather than merely 'band aide' them. I see the benefits of Metapsychology crossing many demographics, working with numerous issues, and being particularly efficient in comparison to other clinical practices that I have used. Pam: Absolutely, I am delighted to travel! As a trainer I feel a responsibility to pass on the techniques of this theory to as many individuals as I can. Pam: I do and have had so for several years. I particularly love the mix of training and seeing clients. I have been actively training counselling skills for the last 6 years, in addition to seeing private clients and doing EAP work. This combination allows me to stay sharp with my skills in actual client situations rather than training from a theoretical standpoint alone. Pam: I am very interested in philosophy in general and esoteric studies specifically. In any 'free' time that I may have, I enjoy activities that promote "connection" and laughter and further understanding of life. I value my friends and look forward to time spent with them. I also enjoy activities such as walking in nature, reading, cross-stitching and painting - activities that allow me to recharge and nurture my soul. Pam: I have a wide professional background, which I believe, serves me well in the counselling field. I was a Registered Nurse for many years, working in critical care areas such as open-heart surgery, oncology, dialysis, and intensive care. Having a desire to manage people, I moved into the corporate business world to learn management and supervision skills. During this time period, it became clear to me that I wanted to return to the helping professions and returned to University to acquire my Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology. Throughout all these careers, the common denominator was the desire to assist individuals 'to become the best that they could be.' For the last decade, I am one of those fortunate people who get to say "I am doing what I love to do!" Pam: During the previous 5 years, I had been the trainer for two programs of a local non-profit society, one of which I developed. When I became involved with TIR and Metapsychology, my focus and attention was tuned into Metapsychology related activities. I have been leading a Technical Direction monthly meeting for newly trained students of TIR and Metapsychology for over a year which I find inspiring as I have the opportunity to watch and participate in the growth and excitement of trainees as they progress in their skills (their enthusiasm is contagious!). I am actively providing internships for several trainees, which I absolutely love - mentoring is extremely rewarding. And of course, I am involved in providing training for TIR, FLSR and EA. |
